About
Keegan Spera
Endlessly inspired by the beauty in the natural world, from the smallest feather to the endless horizon of the sea, I create artwork that explores nature, light, connection, and wonder from my studio in the South Carolina Lowcountry.
Working across acrylic, watercolor, pastels, and mixed media, my subjects range from beloved pets and wildlife to coastal landscapes, luminous abstracts, and whimsical illustrations. My work moves between detailed realism and expressive color, capturing both the visible details of a subject and the feeling it leaves behind.

Whether painting a cherished pet, a sunlit seascape, an intricate feather, or a playful character, I'm drawn to the small moments that invite us to pause, look closer, and rediscover a sense of wonder.
I am in constant awe of the way light transforms the world around us—from sunlight dancing across water to the glow of a holiday ornament, or from the gaze of a beloved companion to the vibrant colors of a coastal sunset.

Rooted in a deep love of oceans, wildlife, sunshine, and natural beauty, my art is designed to bring warmth, curiosity, and a touch of glimmer into the world. My pieces celebrate our connection to nature, the beauty waiting to be noticed, and the small moments that make life feel magical. I want my art to be a reminder that beauty can be found in both the extraordinary and the everyday.

That same love of small, moments of magic shows up off the canvas, too, through handwritten notes, my collection of pretty pens, whimsical note cards, and sending carefully curated, thoughtful gifts.

I'm also a Certified Art Therapy Practitioner, and I bring that understanding of connection, emotion, and storytelling into the work I create.
